Cerveau Initiative Collaboration With PAL

As part of our values to continuously give back to the society, Cerveau Initiative in collaboration with Play and Learn Foundation launched an event termed PAL FEST which was a night of Arts and Drama, a lively gathering of creative skills and talents in our society. The event was held at the University of Ghana Efua Sutherland Studio from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, which brought together performers and arts enthusiasts, that is the children from Okponglo-Bawaleshie Community for a spectacular night of entertainment and creativity.

The top-most goal of Play and Learn Foundation is to start a Container Library Project, which intends to render attainable educational resources to children in communities who have limited or no access to resources, or who are otherwise disenfranchised. Thus, the PAL FEST was an exceptional program intended to solicit for funds for the Play and Learn’s Container Library Project.

The PAL FEST night commenced with a cordial welcome from Play and Learn representative who emphasized on the foundation’s commitment to provide attainable educational resources to children in underserved communities.

Attendees were treated to diverse lineup of performances, that is a play merged with drama, poetry and dance performance by the PAL children, with assistance from Dr. Margaret Ismaila, Dr. David E.A Quaye and Teaching Assistant, Ms. Efezino Favour Uweribeno all from the University of Ghana School of Performing Arts. The talented cast delivered performances that resonated deeply with the audience, leaving many in attendance moved and inspired.

Throughout the night, Play and Learn Foundation made known to the attendees their achievement and impacts they’ve made so far. During the event, the PAL Foundation publicly acknowledged Cerveau Initiative as the main sponsor of the event which included a special on-stage presentation.

The Play and Learn Foundation took some time to explain into details the whole concept of the Container Library, why the library matters, programs for the container library, project reach and the project impact.

The event concluded with an appeal for more support and donations to warrant the success of this life-changing initiative. Feedback from attendees were overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to experience such an event.

Thank you to everyone who joined this wonderful initiative. Stay tuned for updates on future events and initiatives aimed at supporting arts in our community as well as providing accessible educational resources to children in undeserved communities.
