As part of our commitment to promoting early detection and education on breast cancer, Cerveau Initiative will be hosting a community outreach event themed “Pink Walk and Talk.”
The event was held in the scenic hills of Aburi, a popular weekend retreat known for its cool climate, breathtaking views, and walking trails. Every Saturday morning, this destination draws health-conscious individuals and families looking to stay active, and this made it the perfect setting for our awareness campaign. Our team and 12 vibrant local volunteers and 1 international volunteer were involved in this initiative to walk, interact, and share vital information about breast cancer awareness and the importance of regular health checks.
Beyond raising awareness, the” Pink Walk and Talk” was also introduce the public to Cerveau Initiative and our ongoing effort to support women through health education, advocacy, and empowerment. During the event, our team engaged participants in meaningful conversations, distributing educational materials and flyers, and inviting and taking contacts with everyone to join us for our free health screening on October 31st.
Our volunteers also took the opportunity to engage in aerobics, stretching and games after successfully walking and completing final steps to the top of the mountain. The team and volunteers had nourishing meals and some refreshments to end the day.
Through this initiative, we broke the silence surrounding breast cancer, encouraged open dialogue, and reminded everyone that early detection saves lives. The journey does not end there; we continue to create awareness and curate initiatives for the whole month of October.
At Cerveau Initiative, we believe that every step walked in awareness brings us closer to a world where no woman faces breast cancer alone. We are proud to lead conversations, inspire hope, and encourage early action, because together, we can make a difference.
Join us as we continue this journey, talk for change, and break the silence of breast cancer.
