Tuesday 24th February, marked a deeply meaningful moment for our organization as we returned to SAID Academy we first partnered with one year ago. This visit was not just a follow-up, but it was a moment of reflection, celebration, and closure. 

One year ago, we decided to support SAID Academy with our SONNE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME which included a financial scholarship scheme supporting 50 students, with the goal of easing educational barriers and giving each child the opportunity to focus fully on learning. Alongside financial support, we committed to something equally important: mentorship. Over the course of the scholarship period, dedicated resourceful volunteers worked with the students, offering guidance, encouragement, and personal development support. 

Our return visit brought together our team and volunteers to reconnect with the students, assess their progress, and formally close the scholarship chapter. What we encountered was truly encouraging. The growth in confidence, academic performance, and overall engagement among the students was clear as a reminder of what consistent support and belief can achieve. To recognize excellence and hard work, we awarded students who demonstrated outstanding performance in English, Mathematics, and ICT, across both lower primary and upper primary levels. These awards were not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a motivation for continued excellence and discipline for other students. 

In addition to celebrating student success, we also contributed to strengthening the school’s administrative capacity. We donated a printer and a shredding machine to the school administration, supporting efficiency, record-keeping, and sustainability within the institution. 

 This visit marked the end of a chapter, but not the end of our commitment to SAID Academy and youth development. It reinforced our belief that impactful change happens when financial support, mentorship, and community collaboration come together. 

We are grateful to our volunteers, partners, and supporters who made this journey possible, and we are proud of every student who embraced the opportunity to grow, learn, and excel. As we close this chapter, we carry forward the lessons, the stories, and the renewed motivation to continue empowering young minds and transforming futures.
